Mary Frances (Jones) Thompson was born in Tulsa, OK on May 15, 1941 to James Francis Jones & Mildred Eunice (Miller) Jones.  James (WWII Vet) was an airplane mechanic & Mildred was a housewife.  Mary was the oldest of 9 children.  One of her siblings, Ronnie Lee, died within months of his birth...he never came home from the hospital.      

Mary & her siblings were Catholics & went to Sts. Peter & Paul Church & School in Tulsa, OK.  They graduated high school from Will Rogers in Tulsa, OK.  Mary also went to night school for typing & shorthand.  She became a legal secretary & worked for lawyers almost 'til the day she died.  

Mary had 4 kids & 8 grandkids total.  She lived & worked in Minnesota.  There is where she met her last husband, Nathan Earl Thompon.  With him she moved, lived & worked in Houston, TX.  Then eventually she came home to Tulsa, OK so she could be near her mom in Mildred's final years.  Her dad, James Francis, was already gone due to cancer.

Mary spent her final years working, visiting with grandkids whenever she could, working on her house/yard, reading her beloved romance novels, & gambling.  She & her mom Mildred were able to go to Vegas a couple of times before Mildred died.  Mary also went on a couple of sea cruises before she herself died.

Mary already had cancer once but was able to have it removed via a hysterectomy.  12/24/03 those at Mary's annual Christmas Eve party could tell she was sick again.  1/24/04 cancer got her too.  At least, as with her father, she didn't suffer long.  May she RIP.
